    Bolivian Dancer

    Taken at the Memorial Day parade today. I cropped this one down a bit. Is the grain a result of the crop, is it the lens or is it my lack of technique?

    I love the pose you caught, very graceful. The photo is rich with color. I think the shapes get a little meshed together because there is so much in it. Maybe the depth of field could be made narrower, distinguishing the woman in the foreground from the people in the background.

    I agree completely. I was stopped down as far as I could go at that focal length. I have a bunch more with tighter DOF but I just missed the moment in all of them. These folks were moving pretty fast and spinning around like crazy. It was really cool to watch but pushed my limited skills to the max.
