    boats and skyline

Boats against the San Diego skyline. Too bad that the boats had to move. This photo looks better when larger than 640 pixels, but can't see to figure out how to upload wider than that (I've seen others do it).

    Re: boats and skyline

It's a nice night shot and the blurring of the boats does not hurt it too bad. The light in the middle does however, as it is so bright and attracts all the attention. You coulkd try burning it in or even cloning out the light itself. I like how the posts on the dock resemble the buildings in the skyline.

I'll agree with every one and say you should've took a beebee gun to that light!! but then the foreground wouldn't be so nicely lit. Overall, still a good shot.

    Re: boats and skyline

Thanks for the replies everyone... Looks like the light is a double-edged sword. I guess I could try removing it digitally, but wow that would be pretty difficult to get right. Maybe when I have about 3-4 hrs with nothing else to do.

I agree that the boats aren't so blurry that they really distract. Faster film might do the trick also (this was 100 ASA)
