    Blueprint

    Hi all

This is something I did not too long ago which has been sitting in my files.

It's the National Maritime Museum in London, blended with a blueprint effect I devised.

    Cheers

Great fun. I love it. Interesting idea and well executed. No ideas for improvement.

I like the idea Mike. One thing I think you should have measurements instead of letters though. The idea is unique and the processing is top notch.

Cool shot Mike, I wonder how it would look if the background on the right was a bit more textured blue.

Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...

Cool stuff! I stumbled onto this process myself about a week ago while trying to do something else and when I get some free time, may explore it further, though it lends itself much more to architecture and mechanical subjects than fashion

    Re: Blueprint

Many thanks for all your kind words

Greg - version 1 did in fact have measurements. The problem was that it looked rather cluttered. The letters were a compromise to make it look less so.

Roger - nice to see you .. we must get in touch one of these days. Are you ever up in town?

jetrim - you know, I never considered trying it with a mechanical item. You have made my mind start working (always a risky thing!)

    everyone else - thank you.

    Cheers

    Re: Blueprint

Clever and creative, Mike. Love the effect and the blend is very good.
my nitpik here is that since this is a sort of architectural/precision type image given the straight on shot of the building and the blueprint added i feel the left side of the building should be straight with the frame here. Right now its tilting in a bit from distortion. I would just like to see everything perfectly straight for this particular rendering.

Yep, i have seen this done with mechanical objects and its quite interesting

    Great idea and execution, Mike

    Re: Blueprint

I'm pretty sure there is an effect like this in filter forge, but I'm curious of how this was done.

    Re: Blueprint

Yep. Really cool shot. Would it be better with just a slight hint of the photo showing under the blueprint?
