    Blue Ridge Parkway

Just back from a business trip - got a chance to snap a few during sunset. Let me know what you think ...

    Re: Blue Ridge Parkway

I don't know what to say. I looked at this photo a couple of times, and really its just a great shot. Opportunity knocked and you took it. I love the angle of the rocks with the trees, the pink clouds add a bit of color to the upper left, and the road that curves out of sight, just all add up to a really nice shot. Good Job!

Sorry, but it looks sort of like an ordinary ho-hum image. Not that it is bad, just ordinary, plain. I'm used to seeing much better from you. The yellow in the trees and the pink and blue in the sky - the saturation seems off, unnatural as well.

    Re: Blue Ridge Parkway

I know. When you see clouds like these, you just gotta grab your camera. And this shot is "fine." But the BRP has so many great turn-outs and pull-overs that it seems to me you could have found a more impressive scene to shoot under such a colorful sky. Now, if you had been able to compose Table Rock or The Grandfather under those clouds, I'd say "Print it big and hang it in your livingroom."

Thanks for all the comments. I am sure BRP is awesome, but I had less than 30 minutes to be up there, and the sun was setting fast. I did like the colors which I saw and the overall scene seemed appealing, even though it is a little bland.

    Re: Blue Ridge Parkway

I like the road and the composition

Very nice image for an exotic sports car advertisement

As is it seems to lack something to make the viewer more exited about it ...

I was just there a week ago and this shot does capture the driving experience. And this is far better than my shots.

the colours, along with the pink clouds are nice. the rest of the shot is a bit ordinary though. no strong element to hold my attention.
