I do like the shot, but maybe crop the lower water almost up to the reflection high point. Also a little overexposed white buildings.
But I do love looking at this shot so you must have done a lot right. The blue is gorgeous and the angle you took this from is right on.

    Re: Blue Prague

The thing thats setting me off of this shot is the brightness of the blue, looks sort of artificial. Compounding to that is the odd placing of reflections, being in the further pond of water. The blue-ness makes it look like a swimming pool or something. Otherwise, its a great shot. Just the excess blue is a bit distracting to me.

I mean, understandably I think that is what you were going for, it just looks unnatural to me. I would prefer to see a more natural hue. How close is this color to the actual color of the scene?

    Re: Blue Prague

arne, yeah i see the crop you're looking for. i think the buildings might just be too centered vertically in this one. i think a bit off the bottom strengthens it. yeah, also iagree, i think the whole scene might be a tad over exposed , i think a darker rendition might have been more effective as well. thanks for the tips.

anbesol, this is pretty much right out of the camera. i even made sure to keep the 'vibrance' dial at 0 when openning the jpeg. it's just the time of night and how long i open my shutter that gathers all these blues. but i do understand your concern of the over blueness, but yeah, that's sorta what i aim for sometimes when i go out and shoot blue hour shots. thank you :-)

1 more thing, i don't get the reflections at the bottom and why they are like that, i would've guessed that the closer waters would have at least some of the castle. weird.

It is a dam with different water levels, correct? - Terry

i also love taking pictures at the blue hour and the crazy blue tones obtained
yes it may look artificial , I like it though

On this particular image perhaps it would help to try HDR if you are in to that technique

    Re: Blue Prague

Terry, I had to dig up my prague shots to see if i have others from opposite angle and i found one. I don't know what that is, but you're right it looks like a dam, good thinking on your part. To me it still would've been a mystery lol.
Here's a shot from the other side, i was standing where that red vehicle is when shooting this, u can even see the diagonal line from the original in here also. so whatever that is, it might be the cause.

Armando, thanks for the suggestion man. i'll try that also.

First of all, you should know that any photo of Prague, grand or wretched, is crack to me.

I've come to expect vibrant colors from you and I love the effect here. I'd only reiterate what others have said about the highlights. Great otherwise.

Yeah prague IS crack lol. You should also give Budapest a visit next time you're in that area man. REALLY AMAZING place.

ok, i recropped a bit to move the subject off centre, and underexposed by 1 stop to fix the highlights. I think it's definitely an improvement.
