    Blue Moon

I'm trying to put into practice what I'm learning here. I'd love any feedback. Thank you!

Well, I like it. Although, I think I would prefer a little more details revealed in the trees. But I don't know if you could do that without bleaching (blowing?) out the sky.

Thanks RS. I had a longer exposure to get more of the trees but they came out just as dark and you are right, the sky was blown out. I could try to do an exposure of just the trees and then another of the sky and merge them. Hmmm....

I would like to see some of the "dead" space cropped off from the bottom, turning the picture into a panorama...

Pretty colors. All you need now is a couple on a blanket with a lantern chilling out, right there in the foreground.

Very nice photo, colors are great, the moon is fantastic but too much foreground. It doesn't bother me that the trees are black, but there is too much of it for me. Otherwise, nice capture. I like it.

Sarah, do you have photoshop CS2? If you do, there's a neat tool you can use called HDR. it requires two seperate exposures, but you would be able to combine the tree shot and the sky shot into one. Also, try playing around with levels, burning, and dodging, and curves, if you've got it. Here's an example of one that I made work.

this is without the HDR tool, and with only one exposure. I just played around with it for about 10 minutes, and found a much more acceptable edit than my original:
