    Blown away

This is another from today. I was showing my one-year-old how to blow the seeds off dandelions, and I liked how this one looked.

Kinda blown out on the dandelion -- the camera exposed for everything else.

Hey LL, I'm not sure if your aware of it or not, but your bringing up threads from many months ago and even a few from last year. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but some of these members have not been around for some time and may not benefit from your comments.
please do not edit and repost my photos

    Gary,

Fine by me as I've missed a load this year so if someone wants to bring back the best of the bunch I'll be happy: lol :-))

I agree with the blown out comment but its not by much and a bit of Ps'ing should help it along

Emily (if you still post here),

I don't mind this...it's a tad cliche, but I think it works. Great DOF and a wonderful little "story" to go with it.

    Well done,

    Re: Blown away

Well, I like it "blow out". It gives it a "removed from the background" sort of look. Sort of like in the movies when they do that zoom that looks like everything else is moving except for the character. Emily, me likes!

    Re: Blown away

I like the composition and lonely feel. The dandy is a bit soft, did it lose some sharpness in resizing for posting?

I took a lot of dandelion shots this year in a project for a friend. Some of the best were in this 'blown away' stage so I like this one a lot.

    Re: Blown away

Before I noticed the date of the post, I was going to say "Huh--you've got dandelions and I've got snow?" The composition I like.

    Re: Blown away

Hey all! Thanks for the comments and critique on this. I am still around, although I've been doing more looking than posting in recent weeks and months. I'm sorry I didn't respond sooner.

I do appreciate all the feedback.
