Indeed, a beautiful flower. The shot looks nice and sharp. To me the second orchid on the right is a little distracting - the yellow draws your eye awa from the beautiful detail of the edge of the flower part with yellow (sorry, forgot my flower parts!) but that's easily remedied by cropping it in closer to the main flower. It depends on your vision and intent, though. Good work, keep shooting!

    Re: Blooming Orchid

    Well thanks for the comment
i do see where the 2 other flowers can be distracting but i wanted to show all of these 3 flowers
but mostly focus on the one on the left
So it wont totally feel that empty of a shot
    but im not sure
    but thanks alot

I like the sharpness and colors, but the composition is somewhat disorganized overall, just seems like different parts of the flowers are shooting off in every direction, which no central geometry. Why can't these flowers get their act together !?

    Re: Blooming Orchid

I agree with GB. Definately some huge potential here, but the composition seems a tad off...maybe it's because of such a tight composition, but something just isn't jiving for me. I think a little more breathing room around the flowers would do this picture some good, though that's just my minimalist biasedness coming through again.

    Thanks again,

    Jared
