Blessed by the Pope in 1984

a park that was visited by the pope in sept 16,1984 ,birdshill park just minutes outside the city limits of winnipeg manitoba. the fields were standing room only, i'm sure it was a security nightmare for police , this is a view from atop the hill named in his honor,looking fairly peaceful now,where the deer roam freely at night to graze.

thanks alot super fan, but really i can't take all the credit after all its the nikon d50 that does must of the work, sure i drive it out there, and set it up but really its just press the button its not really hard, anyone can do it but if the day ever comes i would be happy to sign your head or your camera, thanks for taking the time to critique my posting.

It is a pleasing panaromic crop but the horizon seems a bit too close to the center of the frame and the railing seems out of place.

BTW are you a pro? Can I have your autograph?

MB1 anytime we meet i'd be happy to bang something ,i mean blout something across your fore head it would be my pleasure,and i wouldn't charge you two cents.

i used the railing to give the picture a sense of depth from the tree's and the field against the sky.after all the aged do need something to hold on to.

That railing seems to be hanging in space with no context. To me it doesn't fit as it is.

Perhaps more foreground would show some stairs or deck drawing the viewers eye into the frame.

It has alot of potential - I agree the railing is a hindrance in this pic, but overall the picture seems a bit dark and a little washed out.....

Even better if you had the railing move into about 1/3 of the frame.

Definitely better w/o the crop, MB I noticed you said the horizon was bad in the center of the photo, would it be better to have it in the lower or upper 1/3 or ?

I like the uncropped one better, too. Why does it look brighter uncropped?
That it isn't so dark is the main reason I like it better.
