I like the angle and point of view of this shot as well as the riders face, it just seems to have been taken in harsh daylight. I like this but would like to see what this looks like in colorif this was a conversion.
I like the composition, plus you have an even background which helps separate the subject. Overall, the separation just isn't that strong though and a lot of techniques can be used to improve that.
My initial thought was that it's too high in contrast, and overall it looks a little light. Also, if you shot it with a wider aperture, then you would have even more separation from the background because it would be more out of focus.
I'm not sure about color on this - if the bike/rider are bright colors then it might also help with separation, but try lowering the contrast just a little and see what it does.
I like the composition and the 'moon-like' background. I only find the light a bit too harsh. As suggested above, maybe lowering the contrast could help.
