    Birds On A Wire

I have been trying to get this shot or a couple of weeks, but the birds hadn't been cooperating, at least when I had my camera. I took this with a 200-500mm, set at 500. Any suggestions for my next attempt?

I like it ...but it may need something more than birds only ....take a look at my grandpa's photo which took 2nd place in international FIAP competition in 1969 ...it reminded me of it ...

I like it, very simple. but I agree with llewpics. it might need something else. maybe a moody sky?

Also not sure if you saw this. but this brazilian guy took a photo of birds on a wire like this and treated it like a music sheet and played the song, his work was displayed in the gugenheim. really amazing. maybe this will inspire you

    Re: Birds On A Wire

Often when shooting a group of similar subjects in a line like this (be it birds, turtles, antelope, etc.), usually a break in the symmetry is helpful. The eye/mind likes to find that break on which to focus. The break can be a change in posture, attitude, or even a completely different subject within a group of otherwise similar subjects.

Your image doesn't have that break. Keep looking for it. Patterns and breaks in patterns exist all around.
