    Birds

What do you think? I know, the photo is a bit noisy, it was taken with a Ricoh GR Digital.

Nice capture, good tonal range. I don't understand why noisy is such a big deal. Any photographer that goes to a museum will see noise in photo galleries of the greats and it didn't seem to bother them. Good work,

Too bad all the people who know how to run this country are busy running taxicabs or cutting hair.

    Re: Birds

I really like the greys in this photo. For me it would be a stronger image progression if you cropped square on the three birds to the lower left - the upper right bird just seems out of place. Then again, I keep looking at this picture because I want to know why that one bird has broken away. Gone "a-fowl", if I may!

The poses you captured with the landing bird is really great!

I like the composition. The clouds work here too so overall I would say this is a nice image.

BTW if we called "Noise" "Digital Grain" it would be a feature instead of a drawback.
    No, I DON'T need that.

well, thank you guys for your comments.
i see that cropping off the bird on the right might be better indeed.

The problem I have with both the original and the re-cropped one is that the birds flying to their right are too close to the frame. Like the mood though.

Nice shot! That Ricoh is an interesting looking camera and it seems to perform well in your hands. Good job on the B&W conversion. The Digital Grain doesn't bother me at all.

I prefer the original crop. The square is nice too, but it's a completely different shot. The one bird leaving the rest adds a lot, IMO.
