    Birdhouse...

This is a birdhouse that i saw one morning in Franklin NC. The damn compression made it blury, but other than that any comments?

I dont know here Almo the space on the left is just not doing anything in this one probably because there wasnt anything beyond that point so i would crop it out and the steel rod is not doing anything for me i find it distracting so i would crop it out also after all your title is Birdhouse . Your choice of sepia is good now all that is missing is a bird
Almo if you think im not understanding what you were trying to present here pls tell me so , it helps to better understand the finer points of photography that i may be missing

Well the rod was just one of those "couldn't do anything about it" things, but the negative space on the left was supposed to be filed by the horse in the BG, but the compression has ruined the effect.

    Hello Almo,

I like your picture. The composition seems right to me. Please pardon my question if it is something obvious but I don't get your compression problem. I mean, how have you shot this (the gears used) and why couldn't you adjust it for web displaying??

Overlooking the compression issue, my only concern about your picture is the relative lack of contrast. I took the liberty to mess a little with your picture. Here is my take...

    regards

    Thanks seb.

I just set the compression to low and I was to lazy to redo it.

I like it almo, minus the soft/blurry effect. The color scheme is great, and maybe a little more contrast, but I like it. Does it look good at high-res?!

Well it certainly looks better than that.

    Thanks Jared...

I like the composition; unusual. I would like the background to come a bit more into the picture and not be so blurred out as the foliage and animal in the field being a little more clear would have helped the overall.
