All could seem to use more light on her face. I think its the second to last, the one with her bottom barely visible...the shadow looks a bit like a c section scar. The last really isn't that flattering for her imo.
    mostly Nikon gear

    Phil,
Lightning on this series is as mentioned a bit dark, very sharp photos, great color, and great PP / or makeup on her skin

For a bikini series she is probably not the right model

The horizon needs to be leveled in the last one.

Why? What's great about them? The Photo Critique forum is for serious criticism. You deprive yourself as well as the photographer by not fully participating. I believe the critique process often benefits the critic more than the photographer. So tell us what makes you think these are good photos

I give the young lady credit for trying, but she's probably not suited for swimwear. I don't do any studio work, so I can't put into words what I'm seeing, but something about he lighting isn't working for me. She seems a bit "shiny". I'd like to see a bit more catch light in the eyes. One certainly needs to start somewhere, and I suspect you're next outing and hers will be better.
    It's not about the camera....

Second shot is the best in my opinion, but needs the tan line addressed with a color blend overlay. If you're going for the "shiny skin" high fashion look, you can supplement it with additional dodging to get the effect more uniform. If not, head on over to your local MAC store and get a container of "prep+prime transparent finishing powder" ($22). It kills the shine and works over any/no makeup. On all of these shots, from a lighting perspective, I'd need to know the intent before offering possible tweeks. Were you using a short lighting configuration with a kicker, or side lighting configuration?

cut off left shoulder on last, she looks a little lopsided.

    Baby got back.

There is a lot going on with her bottom piece in the last photo and I don't think much of any of it is working in anybody's favor.

that's good to know... man.. are you a make up artist too or what?
yes I was going for the shine.

I was using a stripbox on the side and a 7" reflector with grid for hairlight at the back... and a speedlight with a gel right behind her(which explains the sloppy cloning between her legs. Butterfly confituration... BD top.. SB bottom

yes... my tripod was leaning a bit...

people are telling me the bikini is too tight on her... so next time.. I'll be aware of that.
I have a couple of models booked and agreed to do this series with me.

    thanks for the comments.
