    Biking movement action shots

    Ok, so I have tried this a few times before but against different backdrops. This backdrop of mostly sky turned out very interesting to me. I was using a flash, as it was actually pretty dark outside, and a slow shutter. Let me know what you think...





    In previous tries with a shutter any slower than 1/60, the rider became too blurred even with a flash. These were taken at 1/30.

    I know that there are many other members of this forum who are far better qualified to comment on the subject matter but I just want to say that I like the first result that you have posted here. The colour of the sky and the contrasting flash light on the bike and figure, the lit window in the background, the sense of rapid movement, I think that you have done well, I am interested to hear what the mountain bike photographers have to say!
