Hi..

I took this picture today but have to admit that was Sarah's (wife) idea.
Took it with my D1X and a Nikkor 50mm 1.4 AI (mod. by me.;)
The second one is out of focus but I still like it.
What you think..!?

I like the idea and the composition, I think it is cropped a little to tight and you have a strange shadow where the two front tires meet. But listen more to your wife LOL

i think that shadow's her leg, gerg.
I like these, even with the very dramatic contrast, i'm usualy not a fan of that.IT might help if her left leg was in the up position though.
Even though the image quality in the second one isn't that great, i still like it because of the feeling it has. it seems like she's lost in new york. -not a good place to be lost.

Juango, the first shot is a very good idea and pulled off quite well. It is framed up nicely, with the actual bike at the bottom, and the high contrast shadow standing out strong against the white textured bg. (Road) I agree that the shot would have been improved had you caught it with the riders leg in the up position, out of the picture. Still, I really like the overall look and feel of the shot.
The second shot is a bit dark, and I am not feeling anything about it that keeps my attention. She has a lost, or wondering look, but i think there needs to be a little something more to hold onto here.

It was a fun weekend...I just got this D1X and "challenge" meself to go out with the camera and only one lens, NO ZOOM, just a prime, so I pick this 1967 Nikkor 50mm 1.4 and was quiet fun.

Incredible how you turned that sideways HCH.. at first I thought it was just an edited image

The pic of Sarah is very sincere and a good capture of the moment. I like these type of shots that depict a scene or situation, such as a busy street, cold weather, etc. It is a tad bit dark on my monitor but that's OK, it was in the shade - GB
