    Bike Race

    I showed this one in the sports forum, but I'd like to get some critiques on it

    Did you used a flash? It looks as though you did, it seperates him from a busy background. The focus is sharp and the colors are great and well framed. NIce picture..

    Tour of CA? Sweet. My first race is tomorrow. I'm thinking of bringing my camera to photograph some of the heats after mine. The flash is a good idea.

    flash really brought out the color and alot of detail i like it alot (Only real bike riders wear pink helmets lol)

    i was thinking a little less flash would be nice. i don't know. maybe if he was a LITTLE grayer, he would blend into the mood of the land and clouds behind him.
    i honistly like the coulds more than the rider for whatever reason.
    it's a very good image the way it is though, so nice job.

    What I ended up doing with this photo, was I set my exposure comp to -.3 or -.7 (I don't have the original right now) to underexpose the background, and I set the flash to fill. I liked that setup because it really makes the rider pop out of the photo. Except for the cropping this photo is pretty much straight out of the camera.
