been a while....

It has been a while since I posted..wanted to get a few shots out there..what do you think of these recent shots?

Chris - Sort of diverse. I find the composition in all of them somewhat unconventional, esp in the 2nd and 3rd. I like # 3's play on mystery, as I don't really know what's going on. It's selective (and narrow) DOF is, well, odd and somewhat confusing to me, but that sort of makes the shot.

The top shot's darkness and lack of detail in the shadow area doesn't work for me. I see why you included that much sky, but .... somehow it just doesn't work. I want to see someone standing on that ledge, looking off in the distance. It's also too soft. Maybe this one would be better in color?

With the bottom one, I think you're on to something here but I think it's too geometrically correct. There should be something more, some reason to take the shot... Note that this shot is OK, but doesn't really stand out in any obvious fashion. The slight CW tilt, or perception of one, sort of diminishes the image too.

thanks for the feedback...the last shot was for a job for the church itself and just kind of found it's way out of my "work" folder and into my art folder....
