    Smile BEE-cause..any comments welcome

    A little back-story,we have here in the St.Louis area an outstanding butterfly house..like a climatron with butterfly's everywhere-wonderful place.Before going in i saw this guy going flower to flower so i proceeded for some time to get an interesting pic chasing him flower to flower..wife got a kick out of it.

    Its done with an oldie C8080 Olympus on SuperMacro.

    Nice shot. I like the contrast in colors between the bee and flower. Bee's eye a bit soft. I would have liked to see the top of the flower the bee is on and loose the purple spire in the lower right of the frame. It's amazing those things can fly.

    With macros, I'm a stickler at how the background renders the image. In this case, the dark background does not complement the rather dark bee. Also, the somewhat horizontal line in the background is really distracting.

    Good eye for seeing the potential here.
