not bad. I like the bright orange colors and the slight motion blur. I also like the seperation of the orange reflection and the rest of the beach where the crashing wave reached its peak. its very well defined.
composition wise though, i feel that more sky would help, as well as a looser crop. Perhaps a horizontal shot as well.
I don't want it, I just need it...to breath ...to feel ...to know I'm alive.
Beautiful sunset I agree with afdlips though that I think this might be better shot horizontal or maybe even at least crop off some of the bottom space.

Please do not edit my photos, thank you.
Very nice. I wish there was a little more color in the bottom part of the shore there, since the texture is nice. That would make it hold up better against the rest. Nice, pleasing colors.

I took a lot of photos of this sunset, in about every composition I could think of, and the vertical ones just came out better. Truth is, the view off to camera right was kind of boring, and off to the left was an ugly hotel. I plan to post 2 or 3 more shots, which will have more sky, but they were all taken with the same 50mm lens.
GB1,
That's a good point about more color on the bottom right. I'm still mostly a B&W guy, so I was mostly thinking about the texture in this one.
Look for a few more of these and let me know which one you think is best, please.
I wasn't planning to post this one, but based on your requests for more sky, I decided to throw it in. This was taken on different film, Superia Xtra 400, which is why the colors are different.
Both have their strong pts. There's more texture in the first and it is warmer, whereas the second has an interesting design made by the water, and perhaps slightly cooler colors.
I'd have a hard time picking between the two.

I like the first one the most. The light reflecting off of the water adds a lot to the picture. I like it in portrait style as well, keeping out beach side distractions. I think the horizon might have been stronger if you had placed it just a bit lower. But a nice landscape.
I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..
Now that is what I was talking about in the other sunset, more ripple in the water, but with the rays of the other then it would be excellent.

the first here is my favorite of the series...i like the different sun glows on the beach , how the sea foam has created different segments of which to reflect
