    Beach Grass

This was a beach my mom and I hiked to in Pictured Rocks. My thing for taking pictures for grasses took over after awhile (and I found out that beach grass is a bit spiky if you sit on it to try and get your angle, ow!).
I don't know, do any of these work? I think they may be too boring.

You've got great colors here. I like the saturation in your blues and greens. The middle one has a obvious slant in the horizon. Even with that I think the middle one is my favorite. Looks like you used a circular polarizer to get different looks for the sky. The clouds seem to pop more in the second one.

    Hi Cara,

The middle one has the best sky but the top one has the best grass so a little bit of PS'ing to swap the sky in the top and it will be excellent.

I like the composition of the top - better than the others - its just the sky letting it down.

i like the first two the best. the first one could use a bit brighter background though. the second one is lovely, i like the saturation in the colors. i was actually trying to do the same thing when i was at the beach last week but i didn't like the results. these however, are great!

I'm in agreement with the others about really liking the color in the 2nd shot...I particularly like the green of the sea. All three shots have great qualities though...the 1st, I like that you're close to the grass, you get some good detail...the 2nd, again, the color...but the 3rd, while I think it's the weakest...I DO like that you've gotten more of the grass and sand showing in the foreground.

    Hey!

I only got 2 things to say:

1- in the first image you have a blurred line coming across that i feel is a bit distracting, probably wind action blowing a leaf or something too close...but.....anyway....

2- Boring?? With all due respect, these may be boring to people who don't like to look at this type of pictures (basically non-photography enthusiasts ) there's nothing boring about them. Personally i find they really put me there on location, i can feel the wind, the grass poking my behing, and the enjoyable walk you must have had! But that's just me!

    Nice work!

The first shot works realy well for me. The clouds, the transition of blue to cyan, the horizon being shy of middle and the two reeds? protruding from the sand. I think the clouds work well in this shot.
