    Beach girl

While shooting the ships seen in the transportation thread my eye was drawn to this girl on the beach. I have six or seven but think this is the best. I do wish they were sharper or maybe the softness works.
    Two versions...color and bw.

Color, definitely! Wish there was a little more space above her head btw. Nice expression, placement in frame.

I vote color also. But you might want to get rid of that driftwood growing out of the side of her head.

Frog - very cool, great angle. Do you think you could black and white the background and keep her in color? I like those types of color effects.

Nice picture Frog. I like the color edit as well but the B&W works too.

    Re: Beach girl

Thanks, Rod. I had tried that sort of crop too but wanted to show her on the empty beach more. I'd make it even wider but keep running into feet, shoulders, tops of heads, etc.
    Thankyou Anbesol and Greg.
I don't think I'm done playing with this and the others yet so glad for the pointers and thoughts.

    Re: Beach girl

I'd pick the b&w one if you improve it a bit (I'm not picking the color one).

I like ALL of them.........I didn't notice the driftwood 'till sombody mentioned it.
The exposure on the girl is so perfect Speaks volumes

    Re: Beach girl

As much as I like B&W it doesn't work here as she doesn't stand out from the rest of the image. She "Pops" in the color image.
    No, I DON'T need that.

Thankyou, AgingEyes, Snoid, MB and Lori!

Watch for Beach Girl II when I get to it. Seem to be taking a lot of shots lately and working them takes time.

I like the color as well but have you thought about trying to de-saturate it a bit to give it a moodier feel?
