Jared - It has potential. Might be a little too minimalist though. I think it's good material for a photo composition perhaps (gotta do *something* with that bottom 2/3 of the shot..)
I know what you mean. I tried to look for SOMETHING to add to the bottom (hell, even a leaf or a piece of garbage, but I couldn't find anything). As much as I do enjoy the minimalist type photography, maybe I pushed this out too far. I did, when I originally shot this, thought the crack in the bottom half might be enough, but now I notice it's too subtle.
I think I like this, Jared. When I say "I think" - I mean, I like the simplicity of it, but maybe it's a bit too simplified, which has already been discussed. However, I was trying to think of what you could add to make it more interesting, and I didn't come up with anything. I did think about a small bright flower on the bottom, but that probably wouldn't work.
You have a good eye, Jared.

A flower would've have been great juxtaposition for the shot! I agree, it's missing something...what that "something" is...I have no idea! Thanks again Liz, always a pleasure!
The only thing with this is that the texture in the top half seems to fade into the bottom and then you have that crack which seems to separate the two halves.
Perhaps a crop from the bottom and then a bit off the right to balance may make this work as is.
Otherwise I thought Paul's WOM was going for Michelle Pfiffer as Batwoman Corrrr! :-)
