    In the bath

I've not been around in a while. Not that I was ever a huge poster anyway :wink5: I took some shots of my daughter in the bathtub a couple of weeks ago and it was one of those lucky accidents because the original was completely off in color. It came out very yellow. I wasn't going for pro shots at the time, but I had a thought to do b/w so I gave it a try. I'd love to hear any and all opinions. Thanks!

I like it, but myself would of liked a wider crop.

I think it's gorgeous. Even better that it is a color shot gone "wrong" and you salvaged it.

Nice B & W tones. Suitable for framing.

There's a reason that my Dad's old Kodak Brownie came with a yellow contrast filter
It's a good effect on the old Tri-X Pan film too !

I love it..The tight crop and the angle of your daughter's head is just about perfect..So are her skin tones..
This is one to drag out at her 18th birthday party..In the meantime frame it and hang above the mantle..

The DOF is spot on. Nice tonal range too.

    Re: In the bath

excellent shot. the tonal range works perfectly. what I would suggest just to get rid of some of the glare...duplicate layer, clone stamp, select an area right next to the highlights, change mode to darken, and clone the lighter color onto the highlights. Then change the opacity of your duplicate layer until it looks natural. It will just help to get rid of the bright whites on the nose and below the left eye. Print it, frame it in a nice white border, and you've got yourself a great image that you will love forever.

If that's what you get when not trying to get pro shots, god help the rest of us

Excellent, I agree with Brent about correcting the highlights before printing and framing.

    Wow.

Nice capture and DOF. It's a little clipped off but works. Her eyelashes really add some nice contrast here.
