    Baseball

    These are some pictures i took from my colleges baseball team. let me know what you think

    The bottom one would look better with the ball in the shot and his right arm doesn't look right.

    The top shot would look better with a more shallow DOF to get rid of the unecessary background objects. The ball being right next to the guys face doesn't work.

    The fact you can take these shots mean your getting close to an awesome photo. Are you taking a series of shots? How's the FPS on your camera?

    I'm no expert though....

    Manacsa makes some great points about each shot...I couldn't agree more with them. There's definitely some potential, but a few things to work on. Were these cropped?

    These are great action shots! I know how hard it is to get these shots at little league speed, I imagine that college ball is even harder! I agree on the first one that a shallower DOF or maybe a bit of dodge on the background would help it. Though an angle where you didn't have the people behind the shot might be necessary. As for the second, I think it is wonderful! Point of contact and the batter is obviously turning himself inside out to make contact with the ball! Great action and it tells a story too!

    Thank you, i dont really know what DOF is... i just bring my camera when i go fun places and shoot randomly... I am planning on taking some classes on digital photography sometime soon. I did crop them all except for the newest one
