    Baseball!

    Shot a little high school baseball this weekend. #1 was taken with a Nikon D50 and 70-200mm AF-S lens at 175mm and f/2.8 and 1/250 ISO 200. #2 was taken with a D50 and Sigma 50-500mm at 500mm and f/6.3 and 1/60 ISO 400. #3 was also the D50 and 70-200mm at 200mm, f/2.8, 1/1000 and ISO 400.

Jeepers, I can't wait for baseball. I got my press pass today, and I'm ready to go. BTW--nice shots.

All three are great shots...but my fave is definitely the umpire running along next to the kid...the kid looks like he's airborne!

Thank you. A press pass would be oh-so-cool. I had one once for the warmups at an NFL football game, but not since.

It's funny you say that. I posted this set of pics on the "sports" board and the a comment came back saying that the umpire pic. was kinda lame (to paraphrase). I wasn't sure anyone would get the ironic symmetry of their poses and the gazelle like kid vs. the elephant like older man.
