Awesome subject. Sharpen it a bit if you can. Wat until later and the evening. Then use flash or PP, combined with some bacchanalia in the foreground. It will be nice.

Re: the barn in the backyard

Is this in your backyard?!! Wish it were in mine. . .great subject, as Daq stated.
Your composition here is both too close and too far away. . . .if you want most or all of the barn in the shot, a much wider crop showing more and including its surroundings helps alot to bring out a subect. Also the right lighting, such as early or late in the day depending on what works best where the barn is situated.
Focusing in tighter to catch and emphasize details such as the sideboards falling off in the corner, or the old door to the right is another option as well. A tripod will be ideal for that as you want to stop down to at least f8.0 and use a low iso to catch the very best detail and texture.
Right now, your comp is right in between which is what i mean by both too close and too far.
If this subject is in your backyard or nearby, you can really enjoy the luxury of working on it from many angles and times of day and see what you get.
Very nice old barn. . .
