    Banded Argiope Spider

This spider is a female Banded Argiope. She was in a bush in my neighbor's yard. I was thinking this would be a better picture if I had blurred out the grass in the background more. I also would like it if I could have gotten a shot that showed the spider's eyes. Unfortunately, that was impossible due to her placement in the bush........and I didn't really want her on me. She was about 3.5 inches long.

blurring the background but keeping the web in focus might have been pretty hard since they don't look to far apart. however another trick would be to just make the background behind the spider less cluttered... getting lower and having just the wall would set the spider apart to.
