I am a relative beginner at photography and snapped these pictures on vacation is South Africa.

    I would appreciate any comments.

I'm a beginner too so my comments may not be the best, but I just have to say "WOW".. Great shots, can't pick a favorite, but the lioness in the last shot is staring right through me.. I feel like I'm her next lunch.

the first one looks majestic, the second goofy and playful, and the last one says "Don't mess with my kid!!"...

    Hello Iclayton,

The colors seem a bit washed out to me but I cannot complain about anything else.
I think that your compositions are nice, especially the second picture which I find to be truly effective.

    regards

They are stunning, you are very fortunate to have such a chance.

IMO your pictures are unnaturally green, I'd do some serious adjustments in photoshop. I tried to make this more natural looking, and maybe added in some of my own taste too.

But IMO it needs some color and levels work.

They all look quite good, especially the last one.
The shots have too much green in them.
He's my correction; removed the excess green, made some other slight color corrections, luminousity correction (while still keeping the details visible in the bright areas) and some other little things.

    Thanks

Thanks for all the comments, I will try to rescan the photographs as the originals do not have the green effect like these ones.

I will be going back in December this year so I hope to get a lot more photo's

    Iain.
