    Ball Python Head macro 1st attempt

    Ok I finaly got my step down ring yesterday and I wanted to try out my close up filters

    Shutter speed 6 sec.
    F/25
    ISO 400
    Focal lenth 80mm

    Focus point was the eye.
    Only computer correction was auto contrast.
    Any thing else I could work on
    .

    light background is very distracting, I'm not sure how I feel about the foreground either. I think if you made the background park it would do a lot

    I agree with Caleb. I find the foreground and background to be distracting and take away from your subject. You did a good job focusing on the eye. The texture in the plants lead me to believe this image was staged with fake plants. Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against staging an image, as long as it doesn't look staged. Perhaps a more natural setting with more of the main subject in view would make for a better image.
