    Bahama Islands

I just got back from a trip to the bahamas and picked out my 5 favorite pictures. please let me know what you think...I am brand new to this photography stuff. Here is the link on flickr.com > I could upload them on here for some reason. Some of the pictures are a bit tilted..I know this can be fixed but I have yet to learn how.

i think they're really good, especially considering you being new to photography. you definitely have a good eye for composition. and the exposures are all perfect in my opinion.

the tree and the fishing dock pics are my favorites.

and as far as fixing the tilted pictures, i have ever only used photoshop to do it. it's under "image" -> "rotation" -> "arbitrary" and you type in how many degrees and to what side you want to tilt it. then you have to crop off the edge to get rid of the slanted white lines that the tilting leaves.

Composition, color, exposure are all great. Not so crazy about the sunset photo, but loved the rest. FWIW I also loved the Kristine portraits, nice fresh take on composition, and they work well!

Thanks...good to hear that I have some sort of idea of what I am doing.

jetrim---> I am not too crazy about the sunset picture either. However it was this gorgeous tree. i got a few during the day that would have looked better but unfortunately my composition sucked.

I like the single tree sunset. You chopped off the bottom of the people on bikes.

If you use photoshop there is a straightening tool on the left...looks like a rectangle, you just pull a level line across the photo and adjust and crop any edges you end up with.

Great shots, like them all but in particular the people on the bikes followed by sunset. Well done, Cheers, S.
