    Backlit photos are always very dramatic and when they work, really do work. Unfortunately I am not sure this does work, simply because there isn't any detail at all in the face - even a little. Did you shoot it in RAW so you could maybe retrieve a little detail?

    To be more precise than Didache, it does not work. A backlit image needs to provide more detail that just the fact that the person has hair. A backlit profile with more detail would be a much better idea.
