    B&W from Colorado Springs

    Here is another pic I took while on buisness in Co. Springs. The picture was orginally color converted to B&W using a channel mixer layer in PS. Other facts about the pic it was shot at f/4 60 sec.

    I like the subject here, the wierd looking tree trunk but hard to tell whether the trunk is part of the rest of the tree or is just a part of a dead tree in front of the other one..And that is the problem here is that this subject is getting lost. Good subject, try again with different lighting .

    Here is an updated version, the original photo posted was two images merged, one was taken for the high lights the second for the shadows.

    I don't know. I like the the subject but it is a bit clustered and unclear, maybe it just needs more contrast? Perhaps black and white isn't the best thing here, the colors would differentiate between the two subjects. I would like to see more of the top and less of the ground. I would like to see the color version.
