My opinion is the BW suits this image much better. Feeling of wistfulness. Nice shot.

    Re: B/W or Color

I'm drawn to the color photo. I find my eye focusing too much on bright area of the B&W shot while in the color I find myself taking in more of the overall photo and subject. Thats however my 2 copper slugs of personal opinion.

    cheers.

The blown out area in the dress is less offensive in the color photo so I like the color one better only because of that.

I'm drawn to the color version as well. Perhaps an exposure and contrast adjustment in the B&W version may make it better. Otherwise as posted, the color works for me.

I love B&W, but even so I am of the opinion that the color version is just more effective here.

I prefer the color one as well for the following reasons: her reflection in the window is much more clearly defined and doesn't just look like a bright spot which distracts in the B&W shot, and the green in the window is quite pleasing to the overall picture and adds to the calmness of the scene.

I like the colour also. But one thing that distracts me is the really bright spots centre bottom & left bottom.

    A very nice portrait though.

I definitely prefer the color. I am typically a big fan of B/W and I think this shot could work. I think it is being unable to see the detail of her fact that is distracting to me.

    Re: B/W or Color

I prefer the color here , although I feel everything looks good in b&w. What I like here about the color version is the soft pastel like yellow window frame, the green through the window, and the pinkish red flower on the sill. This version has more of a dreamy fairy tale like feel to it.
