This is the Harbor Master's Office for Avalon California. It's located on the green pleasure pier. I just got CS3 and I had to try it out on something. This is a bit over saturated due to the blue and gold polarizer I was experimenting with. I actually desaturated it a bit in PS.
My kids think I have one big round eye and a light on my head!
I like the colors although they don't look real-I'm thinking a bit too much blue/green.
For me the big problem is that the image just has too much going on in it and the ends feel cropped off. The composition would do better as a panoramic or crop to just one part of the whole image.
I'm with Tyson on this one. The vibrancy of the colors is what makes the shot. Plus, there's a lot going on, which pretty much sums up the purpose of this spot.

I like the first one and also feel it's not to busy, but the guy in the yellow pants is distaracting. Clone him and maybe the lady on the far right.

I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..
I agree with MB1 here in that the colors look off. seems like the white balance is wrong. I have no problem with the saturation of them or the original crop.
I had good results with this when I used the Color Balance tool in CS2. Image>adjustment>color balance. I set the Red slider to +10, and the magenta to +5 for both the mids and highs with Preserve luminosity checked on.
