    Autumn swish

I've been trying to experiment with waterfalls and shutter speed to get that cool effect. Here are some of my first tries. any suggestions for waterfall pictures?

Your exposure and shutter speed on the water looks good. My feeling is your images fall (no pun intended) short on the subject matter. It appears that the main subject is the water itself and there is just not enough interest here to make it. It could be helpful to have a more distinctive foreground or use the water to lead the viewer through the image. These are just a couple suggestions. For what you were trying to accomplish these have hit their mark.

    Regards,

    Phil

echo - Like Phil, I think that a good subject is needed even with something as dynamic as a waterfall. Unless the waterfall is the subject, but if so then it needs some good supporting characters. More of the trees (changing color would be ideal) would make this a great shot.

PS - if it isnt too late, take a hike over to Falling Water and photograph it with all the changing colors. That should be pretty close to Pit, ya?
