    Autumn Smiles

Got my daughter Keira while we were camping this last weekend. She is 14 months old and is always running away from you and laughing.

Compositionally and lighting wise, how did I do? I bumped up the contrast and sat just slightly and then added a bit of a vignette.....

Maybe a bit off the bottom and left?
    She's centred.

What a cutie! I like the picture as is - but with a cute smile like that I'd crop way down to probably 1/2 her body and her face.

I thought about cropping it, but I liked the shot as a whole. I also tried cropping it but felt that took away from the pic too much. I find that I have issues with symmetry, for some reason, I just like things centered! LOL

You must be more "ocd" than I am, because I too would crop it... but I like it uncropped as well.

    Re: Autumn Smiles

I agree with the cropping/centered stuff. Also i'm not into kid photos usually, this one is too cute!! The ground is so clear under her foot that my brain almost expects a reflection of some sort. I can't explain it but well done.

I like this as it is. A crop would work, but it is fine. I feel as leels does about the smoothness underneath her, almost like ice and I can imagine seeing her reflection there.
She is very cute, and as gracie said, cropping right down to her face would be great
Fine shot, and a great moment and subject.

    Re: Autumn Smiles

haha..... I do qualify for OCD with some things! lol I guess this is one of them.... I like it cropped but I still like this better....

Thank you all for the compliments, she is a blast, and a ton of fun.

The ground had rained the night before, but other then that, I didn't do anything 'camerawise' to make it look like that.

    Thanks!!

Nicely timed shot and what a face. You will have fun showing her this in many years to come.
