The top one's interesting. I have never seen a place that planted a certain type of trees together like this that all changed color at once. The pic's missing something in the foreground - perhaps a person standing on the hill, looking and pointing at the leaves?
The second shot is not in the same class. You need to get on the other side of the fence, and watch the obstructions. Seems like you're on the blacklist, don't want to be seen there
Don, what are your camera settings? Your shutter speed, f stop, focal length, etc? These photos are way over-sharpened (TM). You are on probation - no more PS for you for 6 months, or until you stop over-sharpening the poor little shots. Perhaps you are being forced to over-sharpen because they are blurry/soft? If so, you could be using too slow a shutter speed. Tripods can help here.
