    August Creek Photos

What do you guys think of these. It took a couple tries, as I didn't know the systems limits. The frist try the server just reset the connection, the second time I was told the file was too big and gave me the max size.

    Re: August Creek Photos

I can see what happened here: you found a neat subject and decides to photograph it. But like it has happened to me so many times, the subject just doesnt want to be photographed You just can't recreate the moment...

I'd say that the shots are missing compositional sophistication (if that makes any sense). The first and second one are just pretty much dead center, and I am not quite sure what you are trying to draw the viewers attention to - the ball, the leaves ono the top, the ? Perhaps if you have used a tripod and slowed the SS way down, it might have been a soft, blurry water below the object (future idea). The bottom shot is interesting but too underexposed. Maybe the meter got fooled by the reflections off of the water.

Thanks for posting there btw - nice to see summer memories in mid winter (even in S cali)

I think GB pretty much sums it up. I'd like to have seen different angles or views of the top two, but it looks like you'd have had to stand in water to get them. A different crop might make a difference. I'd love to see the running water again with more light.
