    Attract or prevent ?

    Interesting sculptures against armed violence

Opposing something sometimes seems to attract it more, this I see it happen directly proportional to how vehemently is the effort to reject it

I would have used a different approach, but hey , it is not my art

Shot in very bright sun light , the intense blue really stands out vs the background...

    What do you think ?

I like it I think you could maybe crop a bit off the bottom and left. I just ordered a Desert Eagle.lol
I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..

    Re: Attract or prevent ?

I think there is a definite need to crop the bottom. The partial sign showing below blue gun needs to go. I can also see where a crop on the left might help. Maybe if you can crop the light pole in the background out. Might also consider cropping the right to exclude the trash can and the yellow/gold ribbon (whatever it is).

Really like the dominance of the blue in the foreground! The bold color with your DOF make for a nice photo!

Can't comment on the message of the display. It might reflect the small collection I own.

    Thanks smhardesty

cropping the image ... hmm, I can easily go there and reshoot, perhaps even with better light

I feel the same way you do Armando. If the purpose of this art's to discourage gun use then they need to take a different approach, esp with the color because this nice blue might attract kids! They have to make it very ugly and deplorable. But artists don't always thing things through beforehand.

Decent shot btw. The shallow DOF works well.

Maybe they should have a persons arm holding the gun, and the arm be tied in a knot!

However, I do like the image. Too bad those people were in the way!

    Thanks Greg and Adamo

about the 2 people, this place is usually kind of crowded, I took the shot while there were only 2 people far in the frame, plus they were also shooting , they should be easy enough to clone
