    Artistic Rocks

I took these out in Arches NP in Utah about two years ago. Amazing looking rocks, though maybe not the best time of the day to shoot them.

Velvia film and Mayima 645 camera.

rich colors and contrast and of course grteat subjects. As you said, the time of day was not ideal as the shadows are too harsh. Still , very nice

What Gary says...........aside from the shadows, these are interesting formations.

GB, the subject is most interesting but the lighting isn't right as you have pointed out. They work but they would need a softer lighting to move to the next level.

Ok - I guess its unanimous that the lighting is too harsh then. Arggg... laziness will get you every time. This park is open 24/7 and therefore a photog can come in before daybreak and be ready to do his/her thing.. assuming that they know where and what to photograph beforehand, of course. I guess that's the advantage of staying at a place like this for more than 1 or 2 days.

Roger - it does look like a human, I suppose. Not that close to me though.. You can tell by looking at my (chessy) web page at gregbulla.com
