    The pot looks a little posed to me -- which is alright, except it shouldn't be obvious. I think the biggest beef I have with your photo is that the coloration of the pot and the soil is almost identical -- there's no interesting color difference, no contrast, not even a shadow. I think you could maybe find a red pot, or place this one on some nice green grass, or even just get some sunlight to illuminate the side of the pot while the ground is still shadowed.

    There isn't too much to hold my interest, although I like the first shot ove the second one.
    Photos are memories that last a lifetime.

    I like the first one better because of the lower angle. I think an even lower angle would have worked much better. The tone on the first one I think suits the subject better. As was mentioned though, the lighting is a bit flat, with no shadows an such. A nice picture, but could improve on the lighting.
