    Even MORE MTB Action...

Last weekend was the first time since October that I had done any mountain bike stuff.
In that time, I did a lot looking and re-evaluating my style and what not.
I think my results were very good and with more shooting I should get to where I want to be.
Here is another from last weekend.
    What do you think?

Nice scale, had to look for a while before I found the MTB in the scenery.
All I had to do was look around the 3rds of the image

    Re: Even MORE MTB Action...

Brian, I like the inclusion of the sky here once again and composition really brings out the sense of scale here. The only thing that might have helped this was a different time of day lighting, like very late afternoon. the bike gets a bit lost in there. But, there are lots of good things going on here which make this image very good. great action

You are right about that Gary, with the light.
It is hard to be at the right place at that time of the day on trips like that.

    Hi Brian

Nice shot. I will echo what the other posters have said, I had to look for the Biker in the picture at first too. I wish the light was better, but I understand you don't want to be riding the last bit of the trail in the dark. I might have tried this from a lower perspective with a longer lens. It is really hard to get all of the elements you want in a scene and maintain the scene as you want to see it, I have that trouble all of the time.

    cropping

I like the shot... I love biking shots that are more than just about the bike... I am wondering if some of your objective would be acheived with different croppings... This is a great shot but a standard crop... Not that I think this one needs to be cropped but in other shots that I have liked of other photographers, I have seen boring or average shots cropped into a panaramic format to make the photo great... Just a thought.
