What I don't like is that I can't see the guy's left arm and that he is lost in his own shadow. To be honest, the whole image confuses me. I have no idea what I'm looking at. I saw this image earlier but I was hoping someone else would go first so I didn't have to look like the dumb guy who doesn't get it. But that's what I am.

Wonderful! Quite the moment! You've used a lot well here, the shadows from the sun, the wide angle, etc. It looks like you've used a polarizer here and the sky on the right side of the image looks a lot lighter than on the left. That's something that bothers me. But I love the almost unimaginably clean composition. Is that police tape? It looks like there should be a lot more happening here, but it's clean, which is odd but good!

My only other problem is that it looks like your guy is trying to get up, like he/she is caught in the middle of propping themsleves up, which is slightly akward. But the lighting is awesome. I don't know what this is, and the image lends that sense of "what am I looking at?" To me that's a good thing, to some others it's going to be a detriment.

I hate to ask, but is this a crime scene?

Pleasing tones and contrasts. . .this looks like an image that I feel I should like but for some reason it has no impact on me. As others stated, I don't understand what I'm viewing and therefore do not feel anything by it, but do like the b&w. Personally, I like tonal changes in the sky as you have here, lends to dynamic and interest. . .for me.
