    Apache

Opps. I hope you wasn't expecting a helicopter.LOL This is the last one from my brief trip to Atlanta. Do you think there is enough elements to carry the shot?

    Re: Apache

I'll admit that I'm a bit undecided but I'll definitly be back. It is a very interesting shot but there's something I can't quite put my finger on.

BTW, I was expecting a pop-up tent trailer.

I like the vantage point and the composition.

    Greg,
Excellent composition, and the tonality is really good. However I would consider lightning up the top of the ladder a touch, just to give a hint of some detail and breaking up some of the shadows.

    Re: Apache

Ok.....looked again for several minutes which should be considered a positive.
The b/w is excellent with true blacks, true whites, and everything in between.
I would clone out the little white thing next to the post.
Don't take it as a negative but the composition bothers the heck out of my eyes.
The verticals and diagonals keep them from traveling smoothly from place to place and they sort of twitch around from spot to spot.
I think thats either genius or an accident but it defintly works for me after I got used to it.
The photo is interesting enough that I looked long enough to pick out details such as the curled edges of the second poster. The posters look fairly new but the rest so old. I even looked up Apache Cafe but the date is too early to find out if he was there this year or last.
Not sure about the light leak around the boarded window.....works with but wonder what it'd be without it. The great grain really shows in your gallery shot.
I give it a 9.9. Get rid of that pipe and I'll give it a 10+..
    Keep Shooting!

    Thank rylan, YoYo.
Frog thanks. I almost took out the white pipe but end the end left it. I will probably remove it before print.
Roger I will give a little dodging a go.

I like the posters though I am not sure that they are quite prominent enough. I do not like the center or right side.. looks messy and busy to me and in complete contrast with the contemporary feeling of the posters. But perhaps that is what you were shooting for!

    Re: Apache

Greg .. I also am undecided about the right hand side. It doesn't seem to me to add much to the image. I would be inclined to try cropping it all out up to the white pillar and see what it looks like. The left side of the image is fine though.

    Cheers
