    Ansel Adams inspired

Ever since I saw a photo that Ansel Adams took of the river in Yosemite, I've been dying to get one of my own, and I finally did.

Comments & Critique are welcome, since I plan on trying again when I have the chance.

    Re: Ansel Adams inspired

This is a rather strange photo of an exciting river passing through a perfectly unexciting forest. Ansel Adams would have had large scale background. But this interesting in its own right.

I agree with Don that the forest isn't all that exciting. It's a bit of a disappointment cause I feel that the expt of the water and rapids in the lower half worked.

Suggestions: Now that you know you can do it, search out someplace that has something back there that is more inspiring. Perhaps use a little slower shutter speed. Watch spliting the image in two (though sometimes that works well).

I also wonder how it would turn out in color in the fall?
