There are technical reasons for the (in camera) crop I chose. I was using a rangefinder and a 50mm prime. Had I shown more sky, you would just see more blown out highlights like the one spot on the top right. Had I shown more foreground, you would see the green grass of the shoreline.
fx101, I don't understand your comment about cross processing. This is a straight Velvia scan.

What Rangefinder are you using? I have a couple of rolls of E-6 I need to shoot.
I am like Barney Fife, I have a gun but Andy makes me keep the bullet in my pocket..
Great reflection shot Paul Is this RVP50? Just put a roll in the Canonet today. It'll be my first slide film. Hope it turns out well
Thanks, Aaron!
No, it's 100F. I want to try 50, but it wasn't available before this trip. I had never tried just plain 100, and I didn't want to take something new with me, so I stuck with 100F, which I tried a few times previously.

Thanks Paul I gotta be honest, I'm kinda scared. I'm hoping I don't like it too much cause this could real expensive real quickly...LOL I might have to try my hand at E-6 processing

Reflection, patterns, colors and horizontal position are great. But I wonder if the line where the lake meets the horizon might be too close to the center of the frame. Vertically, I think the top of the photo might have benefited by including more at top when taken as stated in the crop comments above. At this point, I might experiment with cropping down the top of the photo so there is less visible above the lake, thereby emphasizing more of the reflection in the water.
