This is a nice action shot. The focus and colors are very good. I like how I can read the name of the fire department on the side of the truck. Well done Tyson.

Tyson, this a "nice" record shot of your comrades and their engine. but photographicly I find it lacks some urgency and energy. It is not giving us any further insight or information.

I have a total lack of respect for anything connected with society, except that which makes the roads safer, the beer stronger, the food cheaper, and the old men and old women warmer in the winter and happier in the summer. Brendan Behan

Interesting point of view, I am not to sure what to make of it.
Just a routine training session on the pumper ?
A nice clear shot, showing the pumper panel dials 'n guages, and hoses, with a couple of fellow firemen.
Not a lot of action portrayed in this photo - but it does show control panel detail.

Tyson..I'm a rookie photographer..so take what I say with a grain of salt!! I think the picture has great color...but it lacks composition. The main subject is the firefighter, I feel he is too centered. It would have added a dramatic touch to have him either left or right with more of the fire truck running through the picture. The guy behind him is actually distracting to the shot. These guys don't look like they are fighting a fire..they're too clean...even their hands are cleaner than mine at my desk job!
COLORS look great...I hope they remembered to get the hammer left on the truck (lol)!
ISHOTABUCK!
Jus trying to learn this thing called photograpphy!!
The first think I thought of when I looked at this was the character in Men in Black II, the chap with two heads.
The colour and sharpnes is spot on but like some others I find there is no feeling of fighting fires, just the end of the fight (clean up) - hope that makes sense.
I can appreciate that it may be difficult when your fighting fires to get the photography done but this doesn't work for me. The same goes for the other shot you had.
What do the fire men think of the shots.

Next time try taking your zoom and filling the frame with one of the firemans face, If you can catch one in an emotional moment I think that would work too. Just a thought. Keepem coming I really enjoy looking at them. It's not often I can get this close to the action.
