Great portraiture. The B&W tonal range is excellent. The only part I do not particularly like is the edge of the basket (?) showing at the bottom. And what's with the pistol? Jez.. almost ruins the peace and tranquility of the shot (chuckle..)

This isn't just another face in the crowd, you have a nice touch with portraits. I like the way you get nice and close to your subject.
If anything you could crop from the bottom up to the band on his right wrist to emphasize the face even more. You would lose a sense of place that the mat and hand provide and make the image more about the kid-photographers choice here.
Great portrait, Jurgen. As mentioned, the tonal range is very good as well as the moment caught. I agree that the band at the bottom could go, but definetely not at the expense of the boys fingers and so i say leave it be.
