    Vintage BMW

I have several pictures from a trip to Munich last year... this is one taken at the BMW museum, a marvelous place which I thoroughly enjoyed. Unfortunately, I don't have the model or year, but I thought the lines on this one were beautiful.

My goal with this photo was to capture its mesmerizing lines. As I've come back to this one over time, I have begun to see it almost as a "nude" if that makes sense. I am hoping that I have captured that feel.

    Comments? Critique?

    Thanks, Stew

Wow, interesting shot. I love the lines, and the curves of the car, but the one thing I'm not huge on is the black lines, particularly around the head light. They are a tad distracting.

    Other then that, nice shot,

    ARP,

No I don't ! I remember liking the abstraction of the car more than the car itself.... I tend to do that: only get some weird angle on a subject, but not the whole subject itself! LOL

Yes, I inverted in photoshop. I feel mixed about the result. Meaning, I love the result on the metal parts (quarters, doors, etc) but am not sure about the white compartment area. I think if I can tone it down that would help... because right now it's a little distracting for me.
I could probably mask out the cockpit, but i'm too lazy right now to do that!

    Thanks for commenting.

    Cheers, Stew

I would really like to see the original photo without the inverted look. The interior is really ruined by the PS effect IMHO.
I like the abstraction and composition of the photo. You did a good of capturing the lines and curves of this classic (whatever it is ;) ).

    Cheers.

OK I thought that the invert would bug people. I like the invert on the panels but not the cockpit. I did some quick work in PS and here is a compromise. More pleasing?

    Hey,

Much better then the invert, i don't mind to see the cockpit on the blur side.
now I feel I can drink my milk enjoy the noninvert BMW image and go to bed soon ;)

Much better! This has a nice abstract quality, but once I look a little closer I can figure out what it is and this makes me enjoy the photo even more.
Once again, great job on the composition and the unique perspective.
    Cheers.
